Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes and takes place before or after a city tour.
The sessions are designed for students in grades 4–8.
Further information about the city tours can be found here.
We have developed preparatory and follow-up units for school classes that complement the city tour and deepen the impressions gained. Where possible, the workshops take place shortly before and after a tour. This turns a unique experience into a lasting learning process.
In the workshops, students engage with the topic of homelessness in an age-appropriate, interactive, and realistic way. They work with examples from everyday life, exchange ideas with each other, and develop new perspectives. The students come prepared and with their own questions to the city tour, which is optimally embedded in the educational context of the workshops.
The focus is on the topics of homelessness and life on the streets.

If your class is in Berlin, we would be happy to visit your school and conduct the lessons together. Alternatively, we can provide the materials on request for you to use independently in your lessons. We would be happy to advise you on how to integrate them into your lessons.
The development of the materials and the implementation of the lessons are made possible by funding from the Beisheim Foundation.
