The tour starts at the Haus des Reisens (Alexanderplatz) and ends at Tempelhofer Feld.

Berlin has a lot of architectural similarities with Minsk, but the vibe of the city is very different. Berlin is diverse, tolerant and dynamic while Belarusian’s capital is becoming increasingly intolerant and stagnant because of the repression directed towards Belarusian artists, activists and intellectuals. Generally we can say there is destruction of Belarusian’s culture by Lukashenko’s regime. The tour will make you feel the atmosphere of Minsk, learn about Belarusian politics and the current situation there. The tour is led by Yauheni, a Belarusian student activist who has been forced to leave his homeland. In this tour you will see Berlin from a different perspective, learn about Yauheni’s personal immigration story and the value of democracy in relation to the political systems in Germany and Belarus.

The tour includes a subway ride (U8) from Alexanderplatz to Boddinstraße. Participants will need a valid BVG ticket (zone AB).
