The tour starts at Tränenpalast and ends at Hallesches Tor (U1, U3, U6).

Rasha is a city planner from Damascus who reads the urban landscape like a book. She searches through the architecture to find the hidden stories within. On her tour along the subway line 6 she follows traces of escape and migration and puts them into the context with her autobiography.

What is the connection between Tränenpalast and the airport in Beirut? Is the Gendarmenmarkt really a place of cultural welcoming? What is the role of frontiers and walls?

On the walk between stately buildings and social housing Rasha tells stories of invisible barriers, how to overcome them and how to finally make oneself feel at home.
